Twice a year in spring and fall, Seton Hill residents and friends gather to plant trees in available plots in the neighborhood. All tree planting work occurs under the guidance of certified Baltimore TreeKeepers. Thank you to TreeBaltimore for providing trees to Seton Hill and all of Baltimore!
The fall 2020 tree planting season was supported by a grant from Healthy Neighborhoods to remove 5 old stumps, expand four existing tree pits, and water 15 newly planted trees.
The fall 2021 and spring 2022 tree planting season is supported by the Chesapeake Bay Trust and US Environmental Protection Agency through the Green Streets, Green Jobs, Green Towns (G3) Grant Program. This grant project will add over 60 new trees to greater Seton Hill, remove 13 stumps, expand 49 existing tree pits, and open 9 new tree pits.*
The map below shows all trees planted by SHA since Fall 2019. Click on the tree icon for more information about the tree species, date planted, and ID on Baltimore’s tree inventory.
