About Us

Saint Mary's Park, Seton HIll, Baltimore, Baltimore parks

Welcome! Charming Seton Hill is an area rich in religious, architectural, and African-American history. Not only is it one of Baltimore’s oldest intact row house neighborhoods, it’s both a national and local historic district. Check out this Five Minute History video to learn more about our history!

Saint Mary’s Park, the heart of Seton Hill, is downtown Baltimore’s largest open green space. Just a short walk from the Bromo Arts District, Market Center, and Mount Vernon, Seton Hill is a little oasis right downtown.

Who we are

The Seton Hill Association (SHA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community organization that advocates for the neighborhood. We host community events and liaise with government representatives, businesses, and institutional leaders to further the cause of a diverse, beautiful, and vibrant community. The Association is led by a volunteer board, whose members are elected annually by Association members.

Over the past 30 years, the SHA has engaged in a plethora of projects! Recent activities include:

  • Weekly yoga in the park
  • Monthly neighborhood clean ups
  • Native plant giveaways and tree plantings (with more than 100 trees planted so far!)
  • Our annual pumpkin painting party
  • Seasonal movies in the park
  • Building a community garden

Join us!

The SHA meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 7:30-8:30pm. Meetings are hybrid, held on Zoom and in the building in Saint Mary’s Park (the building doesn’t have an address, but is located across from 546 Saint Mary Street).

While you can attend the meetings as a non-member, it’s even better if you become an official member of the SHA. Yearly membership dues are $15 for one person, $25 for a household, or $30 for a business. As a small non-profit and volunteer-led neighborhood association, your dues are crucial for keeping us going! Click here to register as a member.

Please contact the Association with any ideas, comments, or concerns about our neighborhood, and we hope that you will become part of our organization. We are your advocates. You can contact the president at president@setonhill.org.
