- The Lyric: concerts, comedy, and dance, the closest of these to Seton Hill.
- The Hippodrome Theatre: touring Broadway shows.
- Baltimore Center Stage: Maryland’s official state theater, producing plays, musicals, and concerts.
- Everyman Theatre: a resident ensemble known for affordable, accessible theater.
- Baltimore Improv Group (BIG): nightly improv, sketch, and stand up comedy; Thursday shows are free.
- Chesapeake Shakespeare Company: classical Shakespeare in a small, Globe-style theater.
- Vagabond Players: the oldest continuously operating community theater in the country, staging musicals.
- Fells Point Corner Theatre: contemporary plays and work from local playwrights.
- Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall: home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, with classical, pops, and family concerts.
Live music clubs
- Ottobar: indie rock and hip hop, booking shows since 1997.
- Baltimore Soundstage: rock, metal, and hip hop; most shows are 18+ or 21+.
- Nevermore Hall: rock, electronic, and hip hop, formerly Rams Head Live.
- Keystone Korner Baltimore: live jazz Tuesday through Sunday, plus free jam sessions.
- The 8×10: a recently reopened rock club booking local and touring acts.
- Metro Baltimore: an independent music venue running since 2007.
DIY & artist-run spaces
- Le Mondo: indie music, theater, film, and drag, mostly on weekends.
- Current Space: a gallery and garden bar, open April through October.
- Motor House: a gallery and performance space with jazz jam sessions and comedy open mics.
Rec leagues & social sports
- Club Volo: adult kickball, dodgeball, and cornhole leagues, plus watch parties. Sticking to the city league here; Volo runs others outside Baltimore City.
- Baltimore City Recreation & Parks: city-run adult leagues for soccer, softball, and basketball.
Conventions & trade shows
- Baltimore Convention Center: trade shows and conventions open to the public.
